A couple of members of my whanau visited Wellington City a few weeks ago and came across a fascinating character who likes to be called Brother. He is homeless, only wears a loincloth and a blanket and worships the Maori Sun God - Tama-nui-te-rā. He has several fanclubs, has been in trouble for smoking cannabis and was even put in prison for several weeks after being arrested for the heinous crime of vagrancy.

This is a typical reaction from provincial, middle class New Zealanders who are too fucken lame and pathetic to appreciate or tolerate a little thing called DIVERSITY. Some boring cunt called John McFuckface wants everyone to elect him as The Mayor so that he can rid Wellington City streets of the drunk and homeless and that includes the Blanket Man. I've been thinking about this young woman for a few weeks now. Last month a group of idiot so called "men" thought it would be fun to subject her to their vile verbal sexual abuse and she reacted by stripping off all her clothing in public and ended up in a mental ward. This is the story of a fictional character from a fictional place in a fictional country. She lives in my heart and mind and haunts me all day long. She keeps whispering the same message to me over and over again:

“Please, just give us a chance”

She's told me all about her life. She was born in the Pacific Islands and married young. She decided to leave her tiny village and come to a Western Nation for a better chance for her kids. She gets dumped in a badly built state house in a ghetto, but it’s OK, there’s lots of Island people here and she knows their families. At least there’s plenty of jobs about and the kids will have a chance at a decent education and maybe even make it to university or get a job that pays more than the minimum wages that she’s used too.

She’s got two part time cleaning jobs through the day. In the morning she works in one of those fancy offices in town. She catches the bus or walks to work because she can’t afford a car with a current warrant and registration let alone the costs of petrol. She’s always tired but she tries her best. None of the snobby Palagis she cleans for bother to say hello or even acknowledge her presence. They stand around the water cooler and make rude comments when she walks past. They call her “Fololobese”, a “Dirty Coconut”, make fun of her clothing or complain that she still hasn’t cleaned that dirty mark off the light switch in the women's toilets. She pretends not to notice, but she does and it hurts. She shrugs it off because she knows what they’re like and they aren’t part of her world that’s for sure.

Her husband works night shift in a factory so he can look after the kids through the day. It’s tough making ends meet. She can’t afford to heat her home through the winter and the kids get sick all the time. Sometimes they end up in hospital. She’s exhausted but she tries to spend as much time with them as she can. Some of the other parents and even the nurses judge her and label her as uncaring but she just can’t take the time off work like they can. It doesn’t matter what they think anyway because there’s plenty of family members who will spend time with her child and spoil them with food she knows medical professionals won’t approve of.

She can’t afford to buy much for her kids. Her diet is basic so she treats them whenever she can. She saves some money each week so when it’s their birthday she can shout everyone a feed of KFC. She loves to see her kids happy. She buys second hand clothes from charity shops and is not bothered if something's too big or covered in stains because it’s cheap, functional and warm and she’s not into the latest fashions. Sometimes she can afford to buy a brand new dress when The Warehouse is having a sale. She treasures it and treats it as if it’s a $1000 Trelise Cooper creation and only wears it on special occasions. She always feels like a princess when she dresses up and her family and friends tell she looks beautiful. It’s the little things like this that make it all worth it for her. She’s not into material things.

She goes to Church every Sunday and they have a big feast after the services. Every one is welcome even if they don’t believe in God. If she knows of a homeless person in her community she’s gives them what little she can and brings them food. She knows some kids who are in gangs and who go around tagging, she feels embarrassed and ashamed and wishes they would start coming to Church and respecting their elders. Deep down she understands and knows why they behave like this and she tries to reach out to them but they just don’t want to know. She’ll keep trying though and help them when they get in to trouble. She won’t report them to the Police because those men in blue uniforms remind her of the people she works for and she’s afraid of them.

I wish she would leave me alone but she won’t. I hear her voice constantly and I just can’t switch it off. Is that you Folele? I hear you and I understand. I’ll never forget you and I’ll carry this sorrow and pain in my heart forever.

I despair of society today. I can't believe the appalling attitudes people have to anyone whose different and who doesn't fit into this white middle class view of acceptable behaviour. I have a huge bleeding heart and that's my only fucken flaw. I feel enraged when I see this kind of shit and this fucken garbage. I feel like I carry this huge load of fucken pain on behalf of women like Mrs Folele Muliaga and other people who get walked all over and treated like fucken shit. I find it hard to control my emotions over social injustice and hatred.

Our Police force disgusts me and the aggressive behaviour of groups like The Sensible Sentencing Trust and right-to-life.orgasm.com leave me feeling sad and tragically depressed. I didn't go protesting alone to day. I think it would be foolish of me to turn up and my whanau, as always, are concerned for my personal safety. I've had a pretty tough week and have suffered a barrage of attacks from both the right and left wing, mainly men but there's a group of women involved as well. I don't really know what it means but I don't think it's a good thing. I'm emailing women's centres in Auckland looking for some radicals to join up with me. I have a small group of supporters, mainly young women, but they are too busy working and studying to join me in a protest. They loved the video and were as pleased as I was to see it upset Ken.

My aim is to be a real fucken pain in the arse and make these bastards go away. These people are awful and very aggressive and they have been allowed to carry on like this unchallenged. I won't be doing anything unlawful. I plan to play some loud music and hold up signs that they will find deeply offensive.

My youtube video has had several comments and I've deleted and banned the pro lifer windbags because they totally dominate these debates and won't listen to reason. I was sent 5 horrible pictures of dead feotuses yesterday and told that I need to turn to The Lord. There was also a video response titled "Thanks Ken" so I deleted that as well. I didn't bother watching it.

I left this sign for Ken Orr on the fence outside the Women's Hospital in Claude Road because I didn't get to the hospital until later in the day and they only protest in the mornings. It was a good thing really as I was so enraged yesterday I would have definately been arrested had I encountered them.

The abortion clinic itself is now situated in a secure unit within the hospital to protect female patients from harrassment. It used to be in a separate building and women going for abortions were made to face a gaunlet of aggresive pro life protestors on a daily basis, so I'm pleased that has changed. I spoke to a few people around the hospital and their opinion of Ken Orr and his shitty group was the same as mine. A group of young people called them a "pack of stupid old bastards".

I'm not sure exactly where they hang out but it's around the front of the hospital on the main road so next week I'll have to go early so I can find where they are. I'm making a CD for next weeks counter attack which will feature my new theme song for the pro choice movement - "We're not gonna take it" and the "Vagina" song by the Bloodhound Gang.

I hope they fucken enjoy it.

Hooray! I've made news headlines and upset Ken "king of the comb overs" Orr and his retarded lobby group with my offensive video message. Ken says he's "sickened" and is considering laying a complaint to the police.

Ken and his sick friends will have downloaded the video and watched it a thousand times over meetings with cups of tea and fairy bread. It’s about time someone put a fire cracker up this stupid old cunt's fucken arse. I was tempted to send him an abusive email with a link to my blog but he’d probably have a heart attack and die and then I’d be sent to prison and be called a hero for the women’s movement. So I just emailed him the lyrics instead.

I’m doing a drive by today on Kenn's merry band of filthy liars and bible bashers and I hope I find them outside the Women's Clinic in Greenlane. I'm going to bling my car and hopefully it will attract some attention before I get pulled over by the filthy pigs. Maybe other women will be encouraged to activate and put this freak of human nature back in his rightful fucken place? I might even take some photographs of my delicious "seditious" activities and post them on my bloggy blog tomorrow.
